Do you get a cardiovascular, calorie burning workout from strength training? Watch David and Shuna go through Day 7 of Insanity’s The Asylum!

 

Verdict: Being timed, these exercises work more to train strength endurance rather than build muscle. Also, some exercises may feel awkward to do with dumbbells, so it may be worth an investment in kettleballs or a sandbag. That being said, strength DOES burn a lot of calories, 666 in David’s case.
